    He is also a digital platform evangelist: helping brands think about social media or mobile devices in conjunction with event marketing, retail, TV programming, etc., to have conversations with consumers. Kyle can develop a vision, lead its implementation, benchmark and measure its success every step of the way, and optimize continuously to guide the larger brand story.

    David Bauer has spent over twenty years exploring human perceptions and behaviors and their implications for business strategy. He strives to understand how both rational and emotional elements factor into people's decision making. Based on this approach, he founded the consumer insights agency Hemispheres in 2003. Hemispheres is based on energetic Ballard Avenue in Seattle.

    David and Hemispheres offer a full range of qualitative and quantitative research methods as well as ideation, user experience and business strategy. He has also held positions at Q2 Brand Intelligence, Publicis Advertising, Tattoo brand consulting, Morla Design and KQEDfm. He is a board member of the Puget Sound Research Forum and a member of the research association QRCA and the American Marketing Association.

  • Alan Brown

    Alan began his career in consumer marketing and advertising at Procter & Gamble, followed by Pepsi-Cola. After working on the client-side of the business, Alan took a senior position with a Midwest communications agency leading strategic planning and marketing work for Sheraton Hotels, MasterCard and American Express Publishing. In 1998, Alan co-founded DNA Seattle with the goal of leveraging consumer insights into great creative campaigns. Over the past 16 years, the agency has grown to one of the largest independent advertising agencies in the Northwest with more than 40 employees. Alan’s current role is to secure and foster long-term, productive relationship with clients – and DNA is proud to have an average client tenure of 10 years. DNA has also been recognized by the Puget Sound Business Journal as one of the Fastest Growing Private Companies.

    Some of DNA’s signature Northwest-based clients include PEMCO Insurance, BECU, Alaska Airlines, Group Health, Puget Sound Energy, Nordstrom and the National MS Society. Originally from the Midwest, Alan relocated to Seattle over 20 years ago. He has two children, and in his spare time serves on the Board of Trustees for the National MS Society and volunteers with Stolen Youth, an organization fighting human trafficking in Washington State.

    Chris has spent the last six years at Hand Crank Films helping people tell powerful stories through film. As Executive Producer, he has developed new strategies for video to grow brands, audiences and distribution channels for companies like Amazon, Intel, Farmers Insurance, the Department of Energy and many more. He is also a semi-finalist in the Nicholl Screenwriting Awards, and Grand Prize Winner of the Script Pipeline Award for his script ‘Fuel’, which was later optioned. Before Hand Crank Films, Chris led the marketing team for film distribution company Liberation Entertainment promoting properties like The Avengers and  X-Men. He also co-founded the streaming media company RadicalMail, which during Internet 1.0 was named a ‘Top 40 Marketing Innovation’ by AdWeek.

Liv is adjunct faculty in the University of Washington’s Communication Leadership graduate program where she teaches visual communication. She has a journalism degree from Washington State University, was a fellow with the Radio and Television New Director Association in Berlin and is a graduate of Leadership Tomorrow.

    Rebecca is a strategic marketing professional with deep experience developing clear brand and product strategies, messaging, and go-to-market plans for local and global initiatives. She currently is the Senior Director of Product Marketing at Amplero, an AI Marketing technology company.

    With demonstrated strength in the planning, execution and optimization of targeted, integrated programs, Rebecca excels at motivating cross-functional teams to meet revenue and project goals with a collaborative, results-oriented leadership style. Throughout her career, Rebecca has enjoyed rolling up her sleeves to dig into data to make it actionable, write the perfect copy for a given audience and medium, or work with internal and external agencies to bring brands to life. 


    Prior to Amplero, Rebecca led product marketing and managed go-to-market for Adobe Creative Cloud for enterprise. During her tenure, she worked with global teams and customers throughout the customer lifecycle, including CNN, Associated Press, iTV, MLB, Havas, and Formula 1. She has broad industry experience, both in-house and client-side—including technology, retail, travel and hospitality, and financial services—launching new offerings and increasing marketing effectiveness for established products.

    Rebecca earned her MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and undergraduate degree from University of Notre Dame.

    Will has 12 years of digital marketing experience and currently manages all-up strategy across multiple channels including SEM, Social, and programmatic display. He has in-depth knowledge of international campaign strategy with a focus on China and the Middle East.  Will’s knowledge covers B2B/B2C lead generation and E-commerce campaigns across a wide range of verticals, with notable experience in cloud software, moving/storage, and insurance.  In his free time, will enjoys reading, tennis, frisbee, and hiking.

    Cam is one of those rare right-brained types that keeps the left-brained gray matter equally active. He not only leads the agency, but plays an important role in the day-to-day management and success of GreenRubino clients. Cam has won numerous awards - including CLIOs and ADDYs - but he’s most proud of being a multiple Effie award-winner, the Effie being the one award by which clients measure the success of the agencies that represent them.

    Ron began his career as a graphic designer in 1996 at Hansen Belyea, and became a principal in 2001. Ron oversees the design direction that effectively communicates brands to each client’s distinct audience. With 20 years’ experience working in the design arena, Ron has led branding initiatives of all scales, with a broad spectrum of industries. He is a graduate from the distinguished Rhode Island School of Design and his work has been featured in over 200 publications.

    As editorial director in Tiger Oak's Seattle office—and editor of award-winning Seattle magazine—Rachel oversees the editorial operations of the print and digital platforms of Seattle magazine; Seattle Bride, Oregon Bride, and California Wedding Day magazines, as well as Seattle Business, Seattle Luxury Living (a lifestyle magazine for Chinese newcomers) and Tiger Oak custom publications. Rachel's love of trends, food, arts, urban living and pop culture—and all things locally produced—helps her capture the zeitgeist of Seattle in the pages of Tiger Oak's magazines, web sites and social media channels.


    With more than 20 years of experience in city magazines, Rachel feels magazines should tell the story of what's happening in a city right now, and curates each issue as if it's a cultural time capsule. Her team has recruited some of the city's top luminaries and writers to pen stories for the magazine.

    Before moving to Seattle in 1997, Rachel worked as features editor and associate publisher for eight years at Madison magazine in Madison, Wisconsin, where she won an Ozzie Award for a custom publication. Under her direction, the magazines in Seattle have received dozens of awards from the Society of Professional Journalists and media coverage around the sound. She holds a Bachelor of Science in journalism from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. She lives in Ballard with her husband and two teenaged sons.

    Most recently, Karen has received national attention for launching a series of new digital experiences at the Space Needle to help keep the landmark experience tech-forward, in the news, and more importantly, in the hearts and minds of its guests. These digital experiences use augmented reality, virtual reality, and cleaver interactive development design to continue to ignite the imagination of what’s possible and keep the Space Needle’s experience futurist.

     Previously, Karen was a marketing consultant for T-Mobile and Microsoft and past president of BuzzBee Company, a strategic marketing firm serving some of the top brands in the region. Prior to consulting, Karen held senior marketing positions at local Seattle technology startups, and began her career working at some of the region’s leading public relations agencies, including Evans Group, now Publicis.

    Karen received the Corporate Leader of the Year by the Greater Seattle Business Association in 2014; and she was selected as a “40 Under 40” honoree by the Puget Sound Business Journal in 2008 as one of the region’s up-and-coming leaders. Karen has also served on the executive board of the Puget Sound American Marketing Association, helping build awareness and community within the Western Washington marketing industry. Her dissertation explored how genetic based health institutions cope with the changing science and their constantly changing identities. This research was also an attempt at bringing diverse perspectives to understand more broadly contemporary institutional practices and challenges of institutional self-presentation.
